Team VerveMonkeys recently attended an electrifying regional Vemma meeting in Charlotte. With more than 450 brand partners and guests on hand, the atmosphere was primed with anticipation. And for good reason – as Vemma’s top earning heavyweights lined up to offer the priceless insight and motivation the brand partners were thirsting for.

Uniting the top performing Carolinas was not only ideal and useful but also an occasion to celebrate. With North Carolina securing a company-wide number one ranking in new enrollment and sales and with South Carolina owning the fifth spot, Vemma was finally put on the East Coast map with the official opening of the Vemma Lounge at Time Warner Arena in downtown Charlotte. The newly built arena and home of the NBA Charlotte Bobcats treated the brand partners to an unforgettable evening as guests of the Bobcats and their owner Michael Jordan. To date, Vemma has announced partnerships with the Phoenix Suns, the Phoenix Coyotes, the Charlotte Bobcats, NFL superstars including Shawne Merriman, Steve Smith and Marques Colston, and PGA pro Ricky Barnes.

Bringing the excitement of the Charlotte regionals and the announcement of the Bobcats partnership back to the Grand Strand was job one for the VerveMonkeys team. So far, the momentum created from the meeting helped edify some members’ ranking while others used the valuable information shared there to set up home events – proof positive that staying connected to a team while having fun is essential to the success of one’s business.

Team VerveMonkeys and guests recently gathered at Ragtops and Roadsters to hold a benefit auction to help the Feed A Family charity and to raise funds for the newly opened Vemma South center.

The dual benefit of the event was somewhat reminiscent of Vemma’s nutritional and business approach – both work beautifully.

Approximately $800 was paid to the Feed A Family charity, just in time for the holidays. “The event exceeded my expectations,” said VerveMonkeys team member Mike Saless.

Team VerveMonkeys would like to thank Gary Roberts and Ragtops and Roadsters, Dorian Hooks, Britt El-Kheddiwi, Stacy Davis, Lisa Kimton and all others involved in making this event a success. A special thank you is also extended to all the businesses and individuals who donated items, time and efforts.

Team VerveMonkeys made an appearance at a YMCA sponsored swim meet in Eden, NC, a small city just north of Greensboro and Winston-Salem.

The event was held November 14, and attracted approximately 12 swim teams from North Carolina and neighboring Virginia. Team VerveMonkeys member Mike Saless said his Vemma/Verve booth was visited by athletes ranging in ages from 6 to 18. Parents – lots of them – and grand-parents were also on hand to sample the entire Vemma/Verve product line.

When asked why he would travel to another state to attend an event, Saless explained that his booth was the only one there and that he was an obvious standout. “Don’t limit yourself, you can help a lot of people. Think outside the box,” said Saless. He also recalled the story of a swimmer who sampled three of the Vemma/Verve products. “He went on to win 6 out of 7 races,” he said.

Team VerveMonkeys and Conway Medical Center joined forces to help feed more than 350 needy elementary school children at Palmetto Bays and Waccamaw Elementary Schools. Dubbed Smart Snacks, the weekly program provides each child with a backpack loaded with nutritional foods, including juices, nutrition bars, fruits, veggies and now – two individual 2 oz. servings of Vemma Next!

This fine partnership will spread its wings during the 2009-2010 school year and has even garnered a product match from Vemma Corporate. As a true win-win situation, the Smart Snacks/Vemma Next union highlights the good that Vemma and its products can do for its members and the community.

It seemed like a natural fit to mix humans, horses and VerveMonkeys at the 28th Annual Jack Monroe Ride-A-Thon American Heart Association Beach Ride.

The five-day benefit event was held from October 28 to November 1 at Lakewood Camping Resort in Myrtle Beach. Team VerveMonkeys member Wendy Naramore anchored our presence there, flanked by event regulars Mike Saless, Dorian Hooks and Butch Miller to name a few. Other regulars making an appearance were some show stopping equine friends – some 1200 horses registered – getting their fill of beach water and sand. With horses come riders, many who made a pit stop at the Vemma show booth. There, the VerveMonkeys team went to work, sharing the value of health, wellness and prevention. And through the sharing of testimonials, sampling and genuine, honest dialogue, we were able to welcome new team members into the Vemma organization. It is hard to quantify the value of the exposure this event has brought the team – whether from business or health benefit perspectives. “The fellowship from the team warms my heart”, said Dorian Hooks.

Vemma/Verve was well represented at this year’s X Con Comic & Movie Convention 2009 held at Springmaid Resort, Myrtle Beach, SC. We had the pleasure of meeting I-Con’s from the Comic Industry. It was an honor to get to know such talented individuals. We added flare and excitement to all who visited. We are looking forward to being a part of the 2010 show.

Vervemonkeys teams up with usc aiken to raise money for athletic program and put on SEBRA Sanctioned Rodeo. Josh and Shawn Baker join the Vemma team, these experienced bull riders see the value in our nutrition program.  They are very excited to be working with Team Vervemonkeys. They also rode last weekend in Dallas, nc at the SEBRA event, where josh finshed 5 and shawn finished 6 out 38 riders.
